high-quality fur felt Civil War hat is absolutely true to its roots with center crease, 3 inch raw edge brim and bright yellow cord. Makes sense when you think about it. After all, Stetson's been around since 1865, long enough to have made some of the first cowboy and cavalry hats in history. Some darn great men's hats they were too, like that presidential favorite dress western hat, The Open Road (available for you in Silverbelly or Black) and those more casual rancher hats, like The Stetson Dune with its dimensional brim (designed, they say, for easier shooting). One cowboy hat worth a couple extra looks is The Stetson Rancher, a dress western with a pinched cattleman crown. This is another Grade 4X fur felt hat and the narrow self band is as thin as the strings of a bolo tie.
'Course, not everyone's comfortable wearing a real cowboy hat, and Stetson's fur felt Weekender, a western-styled fedora, takes that into consideration with its nice blend of styles. More pleasant surprises with The City, a truly stylish fedora in top quality fur felt, perfect for a night on the town, and The Ghurka, a fedora made from a blend of genuine kangaroo fur and wool felt.
